Golden Bauhinia Square, Repulse Bay

The second day started  with the breakfast, which is slightly better than yesterday lunch and dinner but still didnt stimulate my appetite. I think the best things in my breakfast is the corn and the cup of tea. haha.

Going off to Hong Kong. Quite excited and we are taking the motorboat (the big one). one way trip is HK 141.00.
Oh well... the first 5 mins on the boat are ok... but the remaining 55 mins are like hell. no... is not the boat, (the boat is so nicely decorated and look like a super big airplane inside) is the WAVE!!!! damn... the wave is so rough that the whole trip was like sitting on a roller coaster and i felt like i m flying off my seat a few times. a quarter of the passengers puke, the remaining feel giddy and terrified... me? i vomited after i landed... =(

after that, everything look shaky... to me. and if i stare at the sea... i felt like fainting. thats how bad is my sea sickness.

Went to visit the Golden Bauhinia Square (紫荆广场). This golden big flower that does not bloom or going to bloom is a gift of China to Hong Kong at 1997 (you know what happened la).

Besides the square is the Victoria Bay (维多利亚港). some pictures that i took. again, autumn made the sky looks gray, everything looks gray. =/

The top one is double deckers. =D just eww to see bus with chinese printing on. Below is the bus that you will be on if you sign up for town tour. =D next time when i backpack, definitely will sit on you.

The pharmacy and convenient store. =)) the place that i love to visit whenever i go. heh heh~

Can you guess what is this? it appears in my lunch and definitely disappointed me a lot!!
it is not chicken... is the famous roast duck in hong kong... =( not nice... it is small and oily...=( ai... must find the better one next time i visit hong kong again.

The ting ting bus or tram. heh heh. didnt get to sit on them but they look so cute moving on the railway.

Next stop is Repulse Bay (浅水湾) which rich people stay there in bungalows... haha~ erm... some of the bungalows in Malaysia is definitely bigger than this.

Arrived the Ama temple in Repulse Bay.
Must touch this 财神. 3 times on the head, then the hands and the belt. to bring good luck and fortune back. haha~

If you wanted to have a child, touch him. he will bless you with as much child as you want.

Left: Guan Yin. 庄严。。。 the guan yin in Macau is 含羞慈爱。
Right: Ama 妈祖

you will earn 3 more years of living if you cross this bridge one time. you can cross it as many times as you want. but remember NO WALKING BACK!!! if you want to get back to the starting point, there is a small road beside the bridge which you can use.

This is 月老。the chinese cupid and less harmless than cupid. he doesnt shoot any arrows at anybody, instead he uses red threads to link the couple together. haha~ =) if you want to ask for good partner or strengthen your relationship. can touch the stone near it... (not in the pic) and said your wish out loud (in your heart)

The chinese Hera sitting on a phoenix.
tee hee. 此波非彼波. This is the goddess of wave... (anybody understand what i m saying a?)

The building in Repulse Bay.

Some nice view... =D color is not very sharp... =/ and no bikini girls running around. must visit here during summer guys.

The beach in Repulse Bay has very fine white sand. The tourguide said is not like this many many years back, the sand is dark and coarse... because of feng sui, the rich fellow staying around remove the black sand and bought sand from some part in China to patch it up and become the nice beach that we see now... sound bizarre... really bizarre... the beach is so big. how much sand do they need?

The city of dreams, Venetian Casino

Continue....

On our way to Venetian Casino when the  tourguide suddenly asked if we want to go extra places. Extra places means tambah money for her la. swt. In the end... all of us decide to visit The City of Dreams as the optional.
Pass this building a lot of time, it is the highest building in Macau and there is bungee jumping. Didnt try it as the price is really damn good. RM1000 for 1 jump (+video and certificate). I m now old with a weak heart, not good trying this. haha.

Reach the City of Dreams (新濠天地) and everything is damn dream like there.
The long posh car at the entrance. Imagine sitting inside it with all the wine, Karaoke, dessert and music. Wasai... =) damn nice leh. heh heh. even can sleep in there i think.

When you go into the main entrance...
you can see all this pretty ladies swimming in the "tank". haha~ not all the time though. they will disappear for a few minutes and come out somewhere else. It is nice to see a crowd if people chasing after them and took photos of them.  haha~ but they are really beautiful and sexy. Guys... too bad. they are just 2 D not 3D.

Another posh car. Dont know what car is this. In my dictionary... there is only pretty car, cool car, big car and small car. =p

The show that we are going to watch... Dragon's Treasure (龙腾). It only cost HK30 and the tourguide asked us to pay HK60. How easy to earn the tourist money eh. ish.

For this show, you will brought into a room. The theater is just a hemisphere surrounding you. you will be standing and turning round and round and round. @@ until you become giddy like me. It does make me feel nauseous with all the turning but the  graphics are very good and attractive.
These are some pictures i took at the start of the show... because i feel pening after that looking through the camera screen. hahha~

Later, to the Venetian Casino (威尼斯赌场).... You can google it. apparently it is quite famous for it design and the whole casino or resort if so big that it is divide into four wings. (you need to get a map to make sure you wont get lost in the casino)
Another posh car. damn... why is there so many posh car and so many branded outlets in macau. 纸醉金迷阿.

This is the sort of main attraction of Venetian Casino beside the casino. The blue sky. arent the sky very blue and real =D =D and it is always that blue. 24/7

The chirtmas tree!!! everywhere is decorated in christmas now. love the christmas tree. =)

Their washroom. =D all the washroom in Macau are automatic.

This is the main aim of me to go macau which make the uncle that sit beside me on the plane scowl at me. haha~ i told him i went Macau for Portugese Tart only!!! =p Most of the websites recommended Margaret's Cafe portugese tart and Lord Stow's Portugese tart. both have other branch outside Venetian Casino (things is Venetian Casino are more expensive).
Egg tart, HK8. =) very yummy. the biscuit part have layers and the inner part is so rich of eggs fragrance. =) not too sweet so its just nice. aiyo. definitely better than Portuguese egg tarts in malaysia. must try.

Below is the hotel that i stayed... Not very near to the town... Regency Hotel, Macau (丽景湾酒店) but it is a 4 star hotel.
The bed room. quite comfy. =)

The bathroom which is quite big too. tee hee hee. and i love the big mirror. =))

Persuade my mom and went to bought these 2 cans in 7 eleven.
Must try the blue girl. it is a famous brand in Macau. and the beer is really smooth. =D oh. that reminds me the hoegarden hiding inside my closet. time to drink it. heh heh.

One shot before i go to bed. Good things that happened that day? 1. i tried the portugese tart.   2. i tried the beer.  3. i won HK4 in the casino without me knowing it.

Bad things? BAD LUNCH AND DINNER!!!! gah!!!!

Wynn Casino, Ruin of St Paul & Ama Temple

The next stop was Wynn Resort/Casino (永利大酒店) to see their dragon. Not sure what time the show start but every hour, they will be one show (eg. 12pm, 1pm, 2pm....etc).

The show is near Hermes shop in Wynn Resort.

There are 12 chinese zodiac decorating the roof.

haha~ i only took my zodiac. apparently, it said that snake is best bound to rats. and dragons best bound to monkey.

The dragon came out in mist and loud roaring!!! Suddenly the roof open and fireball started coming out of it. haha~ ok... this show is a bit lame but it is definately beautiful.
A lot of ppl throw coins towards the dragon, wishing to win a big bag of money from the casino? haha.

This is where the dragon will rise. a lot of surrounding it. oh... it is also near the Wynn Casino and also Cartier shop inside Wynn. Aiks... so many branded stuffs inside casino... but i dont dare to go in any of them.

Next is the Wynn Musical Fountain. Right outside the resort. The show is every 15 minutes. Cant hear the music clearly because of car racing.... swt. but the fountain is damn nice... haha~ more canggih than the photo one and if you visit it during night time, you can see colorful colors!! =)

Next is a must go in Macau, the Ruins of St. Paul (大三巴).
Let me tell you a bit of story about this ruin. So many many years ago or once upon a time, the Portuguese came to Macau and they wanted to share Christianity with the locals. The build a church, burnt down. Build second one, burnt down too (dont ask me if it is accident or incident, I dont know). At last they build a stronger and biggest church ever in Macau and that church stood there quite long, until 1 day, it was burnt down by unknown reason again. In that picture is what left of the church, the main door. Other parts are burnt down to ashes because it is build out of wood except this which is build out of stone. Apparently this is a protected artifact...

And... it is not very common to see chinese word on a church building, except the 天主教堂or 基督教堂word. But you can find 3 lines of chinese on this ruins.... Can you see the chinese words? got 3 lines here... haha. one is about the hydra and the other beside the skeletons....
As for the 3rd line... please find it out urself. =D if not it wont be fun =D

Love this photo ba... i look so tall here. =D of course this is the only few photos that i took with my mum. why? because i m the camera man!! oops. woman and my mum refuse to take photo with me. cis.

REMEMBER TO VISIT THE FORT AND THE GARDEN BESIDE THIS RUIN. I didnt get to visit them... because we are rushing... again. =(

Thought i saw it wrongly... but a big big MURAH  staring at me in Macau. Guess a lot of malays visit that place too. haha~ =)

Then, Is Ama Temple (妈祖阁). Once upon a time, Macau is a small fisherman village, so Ama is the goddess that bless and take care of those that go out to the sea. =)
It is very ancient and small and tiny but many people visited here to ask for good blessing. no matter if you are related to the sea or not.

This is the tree that couples or husband and wife ask for strong and stable relationship.
Of course must buy the red lantern and write your name and your wish on it... =D =D I didnt try.

Below are 2 other sections of the temple. Because it is so tiny at first, so they make it bigger by making more and more sections but it is still TINY!!!

Their candles are different from Malaysia one. haha~ =) burn in  a pool of wax.

Another shot of the lucky tree. =)

Outside the temple, you can see this famous biscuit shop (钜记手信).  not the only shop. got a lot of franchise around Macau.
So what are they famous for? I think everything in there are famous. just buy whatever that are hot seller. =D =D and definitely  must try their portugese tart if you cant get to Margaret's or Lord Bestow Bakery. =)

p/s: autumn and winter in Macau and Hong Kong is damn dried. Pretty girls remember to bring your lotion and also lip balm!!  it is a must!!! even you dont need them in Malaysia.

Macau - Fisherman wharf 渔人码头

This is what you will see when I slept less than 2 hours and still cannot continue to sleep after that... >< super scary. but i tried to tidy up a bit on the right side. D =D

Reach LCCT around 4 o clock, check in and no appetite for any food even my favorite sushi... so just stone there... aiks.

My companion, my mother. haha. look like me ho... wait till you see my dad. but he is not joining this trip. and you know what. the tourguide is my secondary schoolmates who i dun know who is he and he knew i m from chan wa. haha~ so lucky, he can fly to so many places because of his job.

Get to take a little nap on the plane until the uncle beside me said a very loud "EXCUSE ME". zzz.. make me panic. actually was the stewardess giving out Macau permit to be filled up.

After that, unable to sleep already T.T the food is yuckie. dont choose the nasi lemak pakage of Air Asia. very yer... i rather eat the roadside stall which cost only Rm2. After the meal, the uncle beside me starting to talk non stop. haha... which is a good sign (cause he introduces me to many places, eg, Hanoi, Gold Coast, New Zealand and Japan) and bad sign (when can i nap?? T.T)

Reach Macau Airport around 10.15am. Love this type of rubbish bin. so tidy and good for the environment. =)
Get trap in the airport for half an hour because the Macau tourguide took the wrong group... swt swt swt.

This is the view of Macau. Nearly all buildings are Casino. See the golden flower like building? That is the new Casino Lisboa (葡京).
Yea... sorry for that funny grey color... there is mist or haze surrounding Macau the whole day that day. aiks..

First stop was Fishermanwharf (渔人码头). Actually it doesnt look like a port to me. look more like some theme park. haha.

The fish in the fortress... look small here but they are very big and fat. wanted to feed them until i see the sign "Do Not Feed The Fish"... Maybe too many people feel them... thats why they are so big and fat.

Potala Palace (布达拉宫)in Tibet... no.. this is only the miniature. and there is a volcano at the back of the palace... erm... fake 1 also. According to the tourguide, they are going to tear down the volcano to build other things. So this might be my last time seeing the fake volcano.

The model of Forbidden City (紫禁城) in Beijing.

The entrance of the theme park. not available now as they are doing some renovation.

The volcano. Nothing shooting out from it. =/

This place really a bit lame. =/ only can do photography with something fake and nothing else.

The port which is nicely decorated like ancient chinese buildings.

A more normal port.

Then is my lunch... >,< is a buffeet lunch. Below is what i ate. Beside the meat and the rice and also the mango pudding... other taste weird... =/ didnt eat much and still feel hungry after it. =(

Ok... and we just pass by this statue.. Can you guess what statue is it?  Not allow to go near it because renovation is going on.

Here is some tips of what statue is it. Guan Yin (观音菩萨)

Or St. Mary (圣母玛利)

Dang dang dang dang.
The answer is Guan Yin, and it is designed by a Portuguese...
For me ho... this Guan Yin looks like St. Mary that dress like Guan Yin. =) Fusion of both western and eastern culture.

The souvenir shop that they took us too... they said it is the oldest biscuit shop in Macau.
The tourguide said this shop specialties are the xin ren bing 杏仁饼 must buy the smallest one and also the peanut sweet (钮花糖) and also something i forget the exact name... but i think it is called phoenix biscuits (凤凰酥)....

No comment la... I dont like biscuits.... so they all taste the same to me. =D =D but really got a lot of people went they to buy their souvenirs la. =)

ok...will be back soon.

p/s: remember to get a Macau Tourist Map in the airport. It is really useful. =) it even teach you how to get to the famous tourist spot.
